December 4, 2011- Aspen police arrested the ex-wife of Charlie Sheen, Brooke Mueller on Saturday. The police arrested her in front of a nightclub in the early morning hours allegedly for possessing over four grams of cocaine.
Arnold Mordkin, the prosecutor in Aspen says Mueller will be officially charged on December 18 for possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute. She will also be charged with an assault. The cocaine charge is a felony while the assault charge is only a misdemeanor.
Mueller allegedly punched a patron at the Belly Up bar while on the dance floor but was not arrested at that time. Later she was found at Escobar where she was escorted out of the club and arrested.
Police said they were doing a regular walk-through late in the evening when someone at Belly Up reported an assault. Police contacted Mueller at that time, but did not arrest her. Shortly thereafter, she left for Escobar.
An unidentified witness to Mueller’s arrest said she was heavily intoxicated and very upset. She was heard yelling, “Call my lawyer, Call the LA Police, I run this city.”
The prosecutor released no specifics on the case. This is not the only time Mueller has had contact with police in Aspen. In 2009, on Christmas, she called police to say she was assaulted by Sheen.
