Chris Paul Finally Leaves New Orleans

New Orleans Hornets point guard Chris Paul has been traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.

December 15, 2011- The Chris Paul trade saga has finally come to an end. He was dealt by the New Orleans Hornets to the Los Angeles Clippers and will be an excellent addition to the team that is currently led by Rookie of the Year Blake Griffin.

The trade may just change the way the NBA and public see the Clippers. The franchise has only had six winning seasons in 41 years of playing in the NBA. However, the team looks scintillating and slick after trading for Paul. They now have two of the top 10 elite players in the NBA and a strong supporting cast around them.

The Clippers traded Al-Farouq Aminu, Chris Kaman, Eric Gordon and a draft choice for superstar Paul. Paul has been an All-Star on four occasions and is considered by most experts to be the league’s top point guard.

Neil Olshey, Clipper VP of basketball operations said, “The time came when we felt it was necessary to get a player like Chris, therefore we had to go all in to do so.”

He added, “Chris makes everyone around him a better player. He wins. He is a general and warrior and will take us to the next level.”

The NBA season will tip off Christmas day but Clippers’ fans know they have already received their Christmas present early in the form of the best point guard in the league, Chris Paul.
