Pop star Sheryl Crow has been diagnosed with a brain tumour.
June 6, 2012- Sheryl Crow said in a recent interview she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. The singer told her interviewer that she was worried about her memory and decided to have an MRI. The results of the MRI revealed she had a brain tumor. Crow said the tumor was benign, so she said she did not have to worry about that.
The representative for the Grammy Award winning singer, who is 50, said the singer was both happy and healthy. The tumor was diagnosed as meningioma, typically, they are benign and develop from the spinal cord and brain linings. There should not be a need for surgery said the representative.
Crow, who is the mother of two young sons, said she recently forget words to one of her songs while performing in concert in Florida. She said, “I am 50, the brain’s gone, what can I do.”
In 2006, Crow had a battle with breast cancer and told reporters that the experience helped her. She said what someone does with the experience is what in the end defines who they are. She said going through those medical problems helped her to let go of pressures she used to put herself under.
