Harry potter author J.K. Rowling is releasing a new book.
April 13, 2012- J.K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter, has announced the first post Potter title. Rowling is one of the world’s most successful authors of all time. Last February, she excited all of her fans when she announced she was writing a novel that was adult-themed. It marked the first literary effort for Rowling since she ended the Harry Potter series back in 2007.
In February, not many details were released by Rowling about the new work’s content. However, on Thursday she released the new books title, its storyline and even when it will be released. The title is The Casual Vacancy.
The book’s publisher released a brief synopsis of the book. A member of a small town in England dies unexpectedly and leaves the idyllic town in shock. What everyone believes is an idyllic town is in reality a town amidst war. The poor are at war with the rich, teenagers fighting with their parents, husbands and wives at war and teachers fighting with their students. The death of the council member leaves an empty seat on the council and that soon becomes a catalyst for the town’s biggest war of yet.
Much of the content is similar to Potter. The book has ancient abbeys, councils, teachers and students. The novel will be released on September 27 of this year.
