After the game, James said that his dream had now become a reality. He is considered the league’s best overall player and for many the team was considered the best in the league. Now, the team can say they are NBA champions.

The Thunder was led by the league’s high scorer Kevin Durant who had 32 points to go along with 11 rebounds. The Heat received offensive helped from three likely sources and one not so likely source. The big three of James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh combined for 70 points, but it was the 23 of Mike Miller that helped the most. Miller hit seven of his three point shots and gave the Heat a very unexpected boost.

Miami became just the third team to sweep the three games at home in the format of 2-3-2. The Pistons did it in 2004 and the Heat in 2006. The four straight losses for the Thunder was the longest losing streak for the team all season long.
