There is a new travel app for the iPad that allows users to search and book hotels online.
October 2, 2011- A new app has been launched by Hotels.com, the booking site for hotels, which is designed specifically for iPad users. The app is available free for download and is available in over 30 languages. With the app, users can search for and book reservations at more than 140,000 hotels worldwide.
There are over 20,000 last minute specials that they can choose from and they can browse reviews that have been left by over 2.5 million people. The app is built to make the process easier for the user as the keyboard remains at the bottom half of the screen through the entire process.
Hotels can be easily flicked through and users can look at reviews and photos with just a swipe. There are also many landmarks than can be looked at across the world. Tools that sort, filter and save user’s favorite choices make the process easy as well.
The new app users either can book online as a guest of the site or can create their own account that will allow synchronization between their iPad, desktop and smartphone. The user can also access all prior and future reservations even without a data connection.
The Hotels.com loyalty reward program, WelcomeRewards, is also supported by the new app. The program offers a free night for every ten nights that are booked but restrictions apply and need to be read prior to booking.
