Model Heidi Klum has decided to end her marriage to pop star Seal.
April 7, 2012- Supermodel Heidi Klum set in action the paperwork to end her six year marriage to Seal. The couple separated just over two months ago and this week, Klum filed divorce papers in a Los Angeles court to end their storybook relationship. The couple was well known for renewing their vows each year and had huge Halloween parties.
The couple has four children plus Klum’s daughter from a prior relationship. In January, the couple announced a trail separation and vowed to maintain an amicable relationship during the breakup. On Thursday, Klum signed her papers for the divorce and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce.
No details were provided about the split. The only thing known was that the two agreed to a financial agreement following their marriage on how to split their assets in case of a divorce. The supermodel and the star of Project Runway, a competition series on TV, wants sole physical custody of the couple’s children. Seal would have visitation rights and joint legal custody.
The R&B singer who has won a number of Grammy awards released an album just days after he and his wife announced their split. He told reporters that even though the two split, it did not mean their relationship had ended. He told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show that, “We will also be connected in certain ways forever.”
