Lady Gaga is unveiling a new perfume and nude ad to go with it.
July 18, 2012- Lady Gaga did not have to spend much money on clothing for her first perfume ad. The popular singer posed completely nude, except for 17 scantily clad, tiny men that were strategically placed on her exceptionally toned body. The singer proudly had her fragrance bottle, Fame, held up high. She says the new perfume smells of crushed Tiger Orchidea heart, tears of Belladonna, saffron, honey drops and pulverized apricot.
Before she unveiled the new ad on her Twitter, the New Yorker admitted nervousness about what the feedback would be from her fans. Lady Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, has partnered with Coty, Inc. since November of 2010.
Unlike other fragrances by celebrities, Fame is the first black eau de parfum, said Coty Beauty global marketing head Steve Mormoris. The fragrance is black like the inner soul of the famous, but invisible once in the air. That makes reference, Mormoris said, to the allusion of the dark side that fame brings, the narcissism and the price of fame.
The scent, said Mormoris was composed of different volatility amongst different notes, and containing different strengths. They all work together in a harmonious way, but they all undergo a metamorphosis on the user’s skin, so the wearer is always surprised.
The first fragrance by Lady Gaga will be available in stores in August.
