Reality TV star Demi Lovato is going to open up about her drug and addiction problems.
March 7, 2012- In an upcoming documentary, Demi Lovato will open up regarding her time in rehab. The star of Camp Rock originally sought help in 2010 when she was battling bipolar disorder and bulimia. She hopes her new documentary on MTV will help viewers that have the same problems or ones that are similar. The new documentary is titled Demi Lovato: Stay Strong.
The 19-year old Lovato said, “I am certain I have hit rock bottom and that took place just prior to me getting treatment, when I admitted I needed help.”
The teen star added, “It is important for me as I feel I have received the opportunity to tell others about issues that are important in the lives of teenagers today.”
Lovato said she felt it was the right thing to do and she was certain that sharing it with others would help. She said she works on her recovery daily.
She says people have days off from school while others have days off from work. However, her days off include seeing a therapist.
She concluded by saying, “Recovery has no days off. You must maintain a healthy mind and make sure you do not give up even when you want to take just one day off from your recovery.”
