Bar Refaeli is Maxim Magazine's #1 model.
May 23, 2012- Maxim magazine has announced its annual Hot 100 and number one is Bar Refaeli. The supermodel from Israel took home the coveted prize that is one of the magazine’s most popular issues.
The list was much different that other magazines covering the entertainment business. Beyonce for example was named the world’s most beautiful woman by People magazine, but she did not even make the top 100 in Maxim. Some think singer and part time actor Rihanna is one of the hottest women on the planet, she only placed 32 on the hot 100.
When Kate Upton appeared on magazines covers all over the world with a tiny bikini, everyone was praising the young model for her beauty, she placed 39th on Maxim’s list.
Refaeli, the occasional squeeze of Leonardo DiCarprio, was number one, unseating last year’s winner Rosie Huntington-Whiteley of Transformers fame and sending her to 11th place. Others that landed in the top ten included Olivia Munn, Olivia Wilde, Mila Kunis, Jennifer Lawrence, Katy Perry, Malin Akerman, Adrianne Palicki and Emma Stone.
Anne Hathaway was 23rd, while Lea Michele and Katrina Bowden were 14 and 18 respectively on the list. The magazine is due on newsstands before the end of the week.
