Superstar forward Jeremy Lin helped the New York Knicks crush the LA Lakers.
February 11, 2012- Jeremy Lin is the new superstar in New York City. He scored a game high 38 Friday night to lead the New York Knicks over the Los Angeles Lakers. Coach Mike D’Antoni said, “Lin produced and answered the questions of many doubters tonight.” His career high output helped the Knicks to the 92-85 win.
On Monday, Lin scored 28 and dished out eight assists in the first start of his career. He followed that up with 23 points and 10 assists on Wednesday against the Washington Wizards.
With the Super Bowl over, New York sports fans were looking for a new start and they found one in Lin. Just when supporters were worried the Knicks were getting too far down in the standings, Lin appeared out of nowhere and has revitalized the franchise.
Just ten days ago, he was buried deep on the Knick bench, but when called upon, the Harvard graduate came through and a long career is now ahead of him.
Chinese TV audiences have increased as everyone around the world wants to get a glimpse of the first NBA player with Taiwanese or Chinese descent who is American-born. After defeating the likes of Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers Lin’s hype will only get bigger and bigger.
The Lakers complimented the way Lin played with center Pau Gasol saying, “We did not stop him, we overlooked him and he hurt us. He made the plays when he had to. You have to give him a great deal of credit.”
