Patrick Dempsey Helps Teen

Hollywood actor Patrick Dempsey helped save a teen's life.

April 30, 2012- On Tuesday afternoon, Patrick Dempsey, a star in Grey’s Anatomy and on the big screen in Maid of Honor, rescued a teenager who had flipped his car a number of times. The car landed in the front law of Dempsey in Malibu and Dempsey, luckily for the teenager, was home at the time.

Dempsey had to use a crow bar to help rescue the teenager from the car and ended up doing even more damage to the car, a Mustang. However, by wielding his crow bar, he was able to free the young driver. The teenager escaped serious injury and was reported to have only a concussion.

Hollywood is going overboard over their new hero. Posts were placed on a number of social networking sites naming Dempsey as the latest action hero in Hollywood. One tweet said, “Patrick Dempsey, star of Grey’s Anatomy has rescued the son of my friend from his overturned car, following a very bad accident last Tuesday.”

The 46-year old Dempsey was born in Lewiston, Maine and grew up in the town of Buckfield, Maine and is best known for his starring role as Derek Shepherd on the medical drama Grey’s Anatomy.
