August 7, 2011- Big Sean, a Detroit rapper, was arrested in upstate New York for an incident that took place at a concert on Thursday. He and Willie Hansbro were arrested and charged with sex abuse, unlawful imprisonment and forcible touching, all misdemeanors.
A woman went to police to file a complaint about the incident on Thursday night at Artpark State Park. Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa were performing at the concert. Police did not provide any specifics about the incident. Each of the men received tickets to appear and were bailed out for $500.
Scott Leemon, the lawyer that represents Big Sean said Friday in a statement: that “both men had been arrested, bailed and immediately released in Lewiston, New York and that they both deny vehemently the allegations and we are confident that both will be vindicated after more investigations and interviews are concluded.”
Big Sean is on an appearance tour to promote his debut album Finally Famous. He got his break receiving a co-sign from Kayne West. The album debuted at #3 thanks to Chris Brown’s help with the song My Last. He will be playing in London on August 15th. On September 6th he has to return to New York to appear in court for the recent incident.
