Rising rap star Slim Dunkin was murdered in an Atlanta studio Friday.
December 18, 2011- Slim Dunkin was killed in a music studio in Atlanta on Friday evening. The Brick Squad Monopoly performer was setting up for a video recording when he was fatally shot. Atlanta police said the rapper was hit once in the chest. The shooting took place around 5:30 pm said authorities.
Mario Hamilton is the rapper’s given name and he was shot after an argument started prior to the recording of his video. Atlanta police said a verbal altercation took place before the video was shot, but authorities still did not know why the argument took place.
The identity of the shooter is still unknown and police have not yet recovered the weapon. When the shooting occurred there were between 15 and 20 people at the studio, police reported.
The rapper was rushed to a nearby hospital but was dead upon arrival. He was considered a rising star and featured on a number of different tracks and had just released a 20-song tape featuring Pastor Troy, Roscoe Dash and Gucci Mane.
Police are having difficulty trying to sort out exactly what happened. They released a statement saying witnesses were being interviewed but it seems as though each one of them said something different happened.

What a waste of a life. I am curious what was being argued about so that someone had to pull out their piece and kill someone over it.
An overblown ego is dangerous to the person with the overblown and potentially to other people around that person.
