Samsung And Apple Fight Over Final Verdict

Apple is not happy with the one billion dollars they have won against Samsung.

September 23, 2012- Both Apple Inc and Samsung have expressed their displeasure at the $1 billion dollar verdict a jury reached in the court case and are set to dispute these.

It is on a hearing set for the 6th of December that Apple and Samsung are expected to both express how they wish the verdict to be altered to reflect their wishes. Friday and Saturday saw the Korean technology giant file legal papers in a bid for US District Judge Lucy Koh of San Hose to either amend or outright completely ignore the jury’s decision on the court proceedings. They want the decision made that Samsung had indeed infringed on Apple’s technology and design as used in their iPads and iPhones to be completely overturn.

On the other hand, Apple Inc are stating that for them, $1 billion is not enough, and that Samsung should be ordered to pay an additional $707 million in damages and interests following the decision made on August 24th that Samsung had infringed upon six of the patients Apple own.

Although Samsung still remains the global leader in all sales of smart phones, the struggle between both tech giants continues, amidst the current record sales of Apple Inc’s new iPhone 5 which debuted in stores on Friday.
