Samsung To Announce Galaxy S4 In Feb

Samsung’s Galaxy S4 smartphone looks to be in stores by March 2013.

September 17, 2012- The Korean technology manufacturer has been tipped to be launching a new design for the Galaxy S4 complete with 5in screen and Android 4.1.

The new model is set to be launched during February next year with a predicted release date for Samsung-enthusiasts a month later. A Samsung executive has confirmed the new smart phone will indeed be known to all by early 2013.

The Korean Hardware maker is enjoying this new positive spin on things following its much media-ridden corporate court rulings with Apple Inc. The unnamed executive for the company spoke to The Korea Times stating that the new model would be announced during the much renown MobileWolrd Conference (MWC) in Barcelona set to take place next February. In a statement to the Korean newspaper, he said, “Samsung is ready to unveil the next Galaxy smart phone, the Galaxy S4, at early next year’s mobile world congress (MWC) in the Spanish city of Barcelona.” He also confirmed that the Galaxy S4 would definitely be available to buy no later than March.

In an interesting statement, the executive also added that the specifications the Samsung S4 will boast will be ‘more than enough’ to stand as a fierce competitor to the Iphone 5. The specifications are tipped to include support for LTE networks, the latest version of the Android 4.1 OS, a quad-core Exynos processor as well as a 5in HD AMOLED display.

However, amidst this announcement are skeptics who are a little shaky on whether to accept this as fact or not. For one, the Galaxy S3 was launched in May this year and Samsung are known for their annual releases. Furthermore, the Korean company are known for ditching conferences such as MWC and, as they did last year, holding their own more glamorous device launches.

Samsung have declined all comment on the new model or on the specifications.
