The Amazing Spider-Man has had an amazing opening two day run.
July 6, 2012- The Amazing Spider-Man the newest superhero film has started off in a truly amazing fashion. The reboot recorded sales of $59.3 million in just its first two days of release in North America. With those sales, the movie became the second best grossing movie for July 4th of all time, behind only Transformers.
The buzz that led up to the film’s release was huge as promoters and the movie’s distributors went all out in marketing the film. Andrew Garfield became the latest actor to wear the red and blue suit of Spider-Man and audiences seem enamored with him. The actor has loved Spider-Man since he was three as the Social Network star let everyone know he dressed up in the red and blue for Halloween when he was just three.
The new Spider-Man is only one of a string of reboots that will be appearing at theaters around the world soon. Annie, which will start Willow Smith, My Fair Lady will star Carey Mulligan and Katherine Heigl will play the former role of Jane Fonda in a new reboot of Barbarella. Action fans will be thrilled when the new Top Gun version is released. Horror fans will get to see the new Carrie as well, in theaters this summer.
