The White iPhone Finally On Sale After 300 Plus Days

Apple's long awaited white iPhone 4 is finally available.

April 28, 2011- Apple finally announced yesterday that the white iPhone will finally be available today. The white version has been plagued with problem after problem and should have been launched over 300 days ago. The company announced that they finally had found the correct ingredients for the white casing and is set to put the phone on sale in stores across the U.S.

In a prepared statement the chief marketing officer for Apple said “We appreciate everyone who has waited patiently while we’ve worked to get every detail right.”

At the same time they also mentioned some other very important news when they released an explanation of the tracking device in the phones. They announced they found a bug that caused an unintentional glitch and they plan on getting it fixed quickly.

When the black version of the iPhone 4 went on sale last June, the company announced that the white version had proven to be more difficult to manufacture than what had been expected and would be available the latter part of July.

When the end of July rolled around a new statement said the phone would be available sometime later in the year. In October it became available for “presale” online for one day and then was pulled and Apple said it would be delayed until spring of 2011. It is here now and even though it was almost a year in coming, analysts feel it will sharply increase sales.

Since its launch in June of last year there have been over 57 million units of the black iPhone 4 sold.
