World Travel Market To Include 183 New Exhibitors

The annual World Travel Market begins in London tomorrow.

November 6, 2011- The world’s leading event involving the travel industry kicks of Monday, November 7 in London. World Travel Market 2011 will include 183 new exhibitors when its doors open. Destination companies, national tourist boards, ground handlers, technology companies and a host of tour operators will all have their own stands for their first participation at WTM.

This increase in new exhibitors has been due to the advancement of technology and the growth in online travel. That sector alone with have 71 new exhibitors. Exhibitors will cover almost every aspect of online travel at this year’s WTM.

Europe has the next largest number of new exhibitors with 32. They include tourist boards such as the Crimean Tourism Development Agency and the Latvian Tourism Development Agency. Other new European exhibitors include the Blue Lagoon Spa in Iceland, the Istanbul Sapphire Viewing Deck and Aqua Vista Hotels, a luxury hotel chain.

Twenty-seven new exhibitors from Asia will also be on hand starting Monday. Tourist boards such as Ile de la Reunion and Goa Tourism will be represented. Selena Travel, a Mongolian adventure travel specialist, will have its own space, as well as Easia Travel, a group travel specialist.

WTM is not only the travel industry’s largest event, but it’s most important. Over $2.3 billion in deals for travel were reached through WTM in 2010.
